 Windows 8 ready for Autumn?

Windows 8 is due for release to the public in October, 2012, according to sources.

Microsoft will finish work on the new system by the summer according to Bloomberg News .

Citing "people with knowledge of the schedule," Bloomberg also reports that there will be fewer than five devices running the ARM system on a chip architecture which will allow for thinner, lighter tablet devices.

Microsoft are due to host an event in early April where it is expected the company will spell out it's release strategy for Windows 8.

Bloomberg is reporting that Windows 8 will be ready by the summer for a September/October launch.

More interesting to me is the event that Microsoft will hold in April.

Microsoft will host an event for its industry partners in early April, the people said. The company will spell out its release strategy for Windows 8, giving more details on timing and marketing, they said.
